The Frederique Constant watch brand is one of the youngest watch manufacturers. It was founded less than 40 years ago, in 1988 as a family business where Aletta Bax and Peter C. Stas had invested their free time and passion in watch design.

The name "Frederique Constant" comes from their grandparents, Frederique Schreiner, 1881-1969, and Constant Stas, 1880-1967. The current CEO of Frederique Constant, Dr. Peter Constant Stas, is descended from the fourth generation of Constant Stas.

Since then, the current Swiss watch manufacturer Frederique Constant has worked with the aim of democratizing women's watches, that is, watch lovers could buy them at an exquisite quality price.

Frederique Constant was the first brand, even ahead of Zenith with its Open series and others, to consistently offer a view of the watch movement from the dial.

Frederique Constant defines itself as a young and passionate women's watch factory based in Geneva, where they produce watches for dynamic people and their mission is to make luxury Swiss watches accessible to the customer at reasonable prices.
