Inspired by the original 55 mm observation watches of the 1940s, the models in the Erbstück collection appear as if they have accompanied their owner for generations, evoking the character and charm of genuine historic timepieces.
Each Erbstück watch is entirely aged by hand using an exclusive method developed by Laco, without any mechanical assistance. Scratches, scuffs, discoloration, and wear are individually applied to each component—case, dial, hands, and strap—creating a completely authentic natural patina. No two watches are alike, making each piece as distinctive and individual as its owner.
This model is powered by the Laco 210 hand-wound movement, based on the reliable Swiss Sellita SW 210 caliber, offering a traditional mechanical experience and a direct connection to classic watchmaking.
The hand-aged stainless steel case features the historic FL 23883 engraving on the side and a solid engraved case back. The domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and the crown faithfully reproduce the execution of the original Beobachtungsuhr.
The matte black dial follows the original Baumuster A design, with indices treated with Super-LumiNova C3, hand-aged to maintain visual coherence with the overall aesthetic.
The thermally blued steel hands, filled with Super-LumiNova, are also individually aged and may feature partial cracking upon request to further enhance their historic character.
The watch is completed with a vintage brown calfskin pilot strap with rivets and a closed-loop buckle. As naturally aged leather is used, each strap is unique and may show variations in color and texture.
The set is delivered in a presentation watch box with an included cardboard outer case.
